RetTrack Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 12, 2026

1. Who We Are

RetTrack is an independent mobile application developed and operated by Giorgi Nonikashvili (“RetTrack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise your privacy rights, you may contact us at:

rettrackapp@gmail.com

2. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RetTrack collects, receives, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the RetTrack mobile application and related services.

RetTrack is designed to help users keep track of purchases, return dates, purchase photos, purchase status, and related reminders. This Privacy Policy applies to both guest use and signed-in account use, although the data practices differ depending on how you use the app.

3. Guest Mode and Signed-In Account Mode

You may use RetTrack in guest mode or with a signed-in account.

If you use RetTrack in guest mode, your purchase entries and local purchase photos are stored on your device. Guest-mode data is not synced to a RetTrack account unless you create or sign in to an account and migrate guest purchases to that account.

Because guest-mode data is stored locally, it may be lost if you delete the app, reset your device, or clear local app data.

If you create or sign in to a RetTrack account, RetTrack processes account information such as your email address, account identifier, display name, and, where provided by your sign-in provider, profile image or avatar URL. Signed-in purchase entries and purchase photos may be synced to our backend service provider so that your data can be associated with your account and restored across sessions or devices.

4. Information We Process

Depending on how you use RetTrack, we process the following categories of information:

  1. Account information, such as email address, display name, user identifier, sign-in provider information, and profile image or avatar URL.

  2. Purchase information, such as item name, store name, purchase date, return date, price, currency, product link, notes or comments, return status, and related timestamps.

  3. Purchase photos, including images you choose to attach to a purchase entry and related metadata such as storage path, position, file type, and file size.

  4. Reminder and app settings information, such as default currency, reminder-related settings or state, account usage limits, and locally scheduled notification information.

  5. Technical and security information necessary to provide authentication, account access, storage, app functionality, security, and fraud or misuse prevention.

RetTrack does not currently use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting tools.

5. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide RetTrack’s core functionality, including creating, editing, organizing, syncing, and displaying purchase entries.

  2. To help you track return dates and manage purchase status, including open, returned, and kept purchases.

  3. To store and display purchase photos that you choose to attach to purchase entries.

  4. To authenticate users and maintain signed-in account access.

  5. To preserve app preferences, such as default currency and account-related usage limits.

  6. To provide reminders and notification-related functionality.

  7. To protect the security, integrity, and proper operation of RetTrack, prevent misuse, investigate violations of applicable terms, and comply with applicable law.

  8. To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the app.

RetTrack does not sell your personal information. RetTrack does not use your purchase entries or purchase photos for third-party advertising.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on the following legal bases:

  1. Performance of a contract or requested service, where processing is necessary to provide RetTrack’s core functionality, account access, purchase tracking, syncing, and photo features.

  2. Consent, where you choose to create an account, sign in through a third-party provider, upload photos, enable notifications, or otherwise provide optional information.

  3. Legitimate interests, where processing is necessary to maintain app security, prevent misuse, troubleshoot functionality, and improve reliability, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

  4. Legal obligations, where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law or lawful requests.

7. Photos and User-Provided Content

You may choose to attach photos, notes, comments, or product links to purchase entries. You are responsible for the information and content you add to RetTrack.

Signed-in users’ purchase photos may be uploaded to RetTrack’s backend storage provider so that the photos can be associated with the relevant purchase entry and restored across sessions or devices. Guest users’ purchase photos are stored locally on the device unless guest purchases are later migrated to a signed-in account.

You should not upload unlawful, harmful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or sensitive content that you do not have the right to store or use.

8. Notifications and Device Permissions

RetTrack may use notification functionality to remind you about return dates, pending purchase decisions, or related purchase-tracking events. Notifications may depend on your device, operating system, notification permissions, local settings, connectivity, platform behavior, and other factors outside RetTrack’s control.

If you deny or disable notification permissions, some reminder features may not work as intended. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.

9. Third-Party Service Providers

RetTrack uses third-party service providers to operate the app and provide core functionality. These may include:

  • Supabase, for authentication, database storage, and file storage;
  • Google, where you choose to sign in with Google;
  • Apple, where Apple platform services or Apple sign-in functionality are used;
  • Apple iOS services, such as local notifications and the native share sheet.

These providers may process information in accordance with their own terms and privacy practices.

10. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  1. With service providers that help us provide authentication, storage, app functionality, security, or related services.

  2. Where you choose to use a feature that involves sharing information, such as the native iOS share sheet.

  3. Where necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or lawful requests.

  4. Where necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of RetTrack, users, service providers, or others.

  5. In connection with a business transfer, restructuring, or similar event, subject to appropriate protections where required by law.

11. Storage, Retention, and Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce applicable terms, maintain security, and support backup or technical integrity.

Guest-mode data is generally stored locally on your device unless migrated to a signed-in account. Signed-in account data may be retained until you delete it, request deletion, or your account is deleted, subject to limited retention required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or compliance purposes.

Signed-in users may delete their RetTrack account from within the app. Account deletion is intended to delete your account and associated personal data, including your profile information, synced purchase entries, purchase photo metadata, and purchase photos stored for your account, subject to any limited retention required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or compliance purposes.

Guest users do not have a RetTrack account to delete. Guest-mode data is stored locally on the device and may be removed by deleting the app or clearing local app data, subject to the device operating system’s behavior.

Deleting the app from your device does not necessarily delete synced account data. If you have a signed-in RetTrack account and want your account data deleted, you should use the in-app account deletion feature or contact us at:

rettrackapp@gmail.com

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, restriction or objection to certain processing, portability of certain data, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.

You may exercise these rights by using available in-app controls or by contacting us at:

rettrackapp@gmail.com

We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.

13. International Transfers

RetTrack may use service providers located in different countries to provide authentication, database storage, file storage, and related app functionality. As a result, your information may be processed or stored outside your country of residence.

Where required by applicable law, we take steps designed to protect personal information when it is transferred internationally, including by relying on contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards used by our service providers.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include account authentication, access controls, and storage protections provided through our service providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and device secure.

15. Children

RetTrack is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to RetTrack, please contact us at:

rettrackapp@gmail.com

If a higher minimum age applies in your country or region, you should only use RetTrack if you meet that minimum age or have any required parental or guardian consent.

16. Analytics, Advertising, and Future Features

RetTrack does not currently use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting tools.

If we introduce analytics, reporting, crash reporting, advertising, or similar tools in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy, update applicable App Store privacy disclosures where required, and, where required by applicable law or platform rules, provide appropriate notice or obtain consent before using such tools.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, our data practices, legal requirements, or service providers. When we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as by updating the policy date, providing in-app notice, or using another appropriate method.

Your continued use of RetTrack after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that the updated Policy applies to your use of the app, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
